Pakora Recipe

  • Chop the spinach roughly(not finely).
  • Dice chop onions and potatoes into small pieces
  • Add chickpea flour, spices and mix well
  • Add little water as needed to make a batter
  • Heat oil on low to medium heat in a wok
  • Use a medium-slotted spoon to drop small amounts of batter in the wok (I use another small spoon to glide it gently into the oil)
  • Let them sit on a paper towel to let the excess oil drain

Assembling the Wrap

  • Spread some Green Mint/Cilantro Chutney on the tortilla
  • Add some freshly chopped onions and lettuce
  • Sprinkle some Chaat Masala
  • Roll into a wrap and it is ready!!

*If you do not have these spices, do not worry as they will still taste great…anything fried tastes amazing.LOL :) -
  • Do not add too much water to the batter, it should not be runny.
-My mom uses her fingers to drop the batter into the oil, be careful your fingers do not touch the oil.
