Roasted Makhana

Ingredients

Packet Makhana (approximately 7 to 8 cups)

Ghee or Olive oil or vegan

Chaat Masala

Tava Fry Masala*

Black pepper powder

tsp
Salt or per taste

Turmeric (optional)
Instructions
Heat 1tsp ghee/oil on low to medium heat
Roast the Makhana for 8 minutes stirring often so they do not burn (will be crunchy)
Take out of pan and set aside
Heat 1tsp ghee/oil on low heat and add the spices, stir for 10 seconds. (make sure the spices do not burn)
If you like a little color to them, then add the turmeric. I like them more white so do not add turmeric.
Add the Makhana back to the pan
Toss well for 2 mins making sure they are coated well with the spices
Cool and enjoy
Notes
*If you do not have the Tava Fry Masala, add 1/2 tsp of Corriander powder and 1/4 tsp of red chili powder.
