Color Me Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour or GF Bob’s Red mill
  • 1 cup Fine sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 10 tbsp Oil
  • pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (pure)
  • 2 tsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp Liquid red food color

Cream Cheese Drizzle/Frosting

  • 4 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (Pure)
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsps Milk for drizzling consistency

Add A Twist - Better Than Almost Anything Red Velvet

  • ¾ can Condensed milk (sweetened)
  • ¼ cup Milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees, and spray pan with baking spray
  • In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to mix oil and sugar
  • Add flour, and salt one by one
  • Add the eggs one by one
  • Add vanilla, food color and cocoa powder
  • Mix for about 5 minutes
  • Bake for 35 minutes/Mini Bundt pans ( bake for 23 mins)

For The Twist - Better Than Almost Anything Red Velvet

  • Whisk together 3/4 cup condensed milk and 1/4 cup milk.
    Once the cake has cooled, poke holes on top of the cake with a back of a wooden spoon
    Drizzle the mixture over the top of the cake and let the cake soak it in.
    Can refrigerate the cake for like 15 minutes

Cream Cheese Drizzle/Frosting

  • Beat the cream cheese and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add sugar and milk.
  • Whisk until light and fluffy
  • Add milk if you want a drizzle consistency
